Here's to moving forward. Pressing on with perseverance and joy. Two really conflicting ideals. But when paired together, perseverance and joy cultivate the best of days. It's difficult to be excited for what's ahead when past hopes have constantly been deferred. However, there's joy to live in and joy that surely awaits. As easy as it is to wade in the late night thoughts of weariness, it's best to speak life and light.
C.S. Lewis tells it as it should be, "There are far better things ahead than any we can leave behind." (Thanks, Clive, you always knew what to say.) The past is important, in that it shapes and molds us. But within the shaping and molding, there's i's to be dotted and t's to be crossed. That seems to ramble within itself, but at this hour, it really makes sense to me. Maybe it'll make sense to you as well. If not, move on.
The point is, late night rambles are fun. To spew out thoughts in these hours prove more poetic than others. The real point is, we (Jesus+ I + you, if you want) are looking ahead. Looking to the unknown with boldness and courage, despite those pesky disappointments. Disappointments can shake and jade you to grossness, or you can allow it to awaken and refine you. Choose the latter. (#obvs) (Or not... #freewill)
Anyways, within the chaos of design and hand lettered goodness, in the whirlwind of research and process, amongst the transition and stillness, this blog finds its first post. Till next time.
